E-Play kiosks show up in dozens of retail behemoth's Northeast locations; analyst downplays near-term threat to GameStop.
Rival retailers have jealously eyed GameStop's hold on the used-game
business in the United States for years, but shopping giants such as Amazon and Toys 'R' Us
are starting to do something about it. Wal-Mart was added to the list
earlier this month, as the retail chain began a pilot program that will
see game buyback kiosks installed at 77 of its locations in the
Northeast by the beginning of June.

Newly disclosed patent filing from software giant describes a new way to control everything from a game console to a thermostat.
While virtually every tech company is concerned with building the
better mouse trap, Microsoft is apparently trying to build a better
mouse. Seattle based technology blog TechFlash
this week picked up on a newly disclosed patent filing from Microsoft
for a motion-sensing "Magic Wand" interface that would allow users to
turn on lights, crank up the heat, and possibly even play games with a
flick of the wrist.

Bethesda dropped a pre-E3 bombshell this morning with a slew of announcements surrounding Fallout 3. Chief amongst them are two new pieces of DLC that further expand the game and the fact that this new DLC along with previously released DLC will be finally coming to the PlayStation 3. Here’s how it shakes down:

We are pleased to announce that Fallout 3 downloadable content (DLC) is coming to PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system. We have been working on implementing it for a while and look forward to bringing it to PS3 gamers via the PlayStation Network. Operation: Anchorage will be released for PS3 in late June, followed by the release of The Pitt and Broken Steel 4-6 weeks apart. Release dates will be forthcoming.
In addition, a new update will be released for PS3 that will allow users to download and play the new DLC. The release date for that update will be announced at a later date.
