Stand-alone follow-up for Capcom fighter to feature
"about eight" new and returning characters, more ultra combos, enhanced
online play.
Street Fighter IV is ready for round two. When Capcom's flagship
fighting franchise returned from relative dormancy earlier this year,
it was critically lauded
for faithfully recapturing much of what made its predecessors great.
Capcom today announced it will be keeping to another of the series'
traditions, the stand-alone revamp.

Although Left 4 Dead 2's launch is less than two months away, its original game got its second batch of downloadable content today. Titled Crash Course,
the DLC is set between the No Mercy and Death Toll maps found in the
original game and accommodates single-player, cooperative, and
competitive action. According to developer Valve Software, the map
should take just 30 minutes to complete, but it will add new locations,
new dialogue, and an "explosive finale." Crash Course is free to PC gamers via Valve's Steam service, but Xbox 360 owners will have to drop $7 (MSP 560) to pick it up. There was a brief outcry this morning when Xbox Live listed the game as costing $10 (MSP 800), which

While Ryu is riding high in GameSpot's Greatest Game Hero competition--having made it to the quarterfinals--he may soon have a new challenger. A teaser video
has been posted on Capcom's Japanese site under a section marked
"newwarrior," indicating that it will be updated at 5 p.m. JST tomorrow
(9 a.m. BST, 1 a.m. PDT).
