Even as news pours out of the various press conferences happening in Los Angeles today, some Uncharted 2 news has snuck onto the official PlayStation Blog thanks to Naughty Dog's Multiplayer Designer, Justin Richmond. Although we already knew that Uncharted 2 would offer a multiplayer beta to eager PS3 owners, Richmond documents a few tidbits of info that are sure to excite Uncharted junkies.
The beta, which launches on June 3rd, comes packed with two playlists: one for co-op and one for competitive play. Richmond explains that profile functionality is quick and easy in the beta, as hitting Triangle on one of your friends will display his profile and provide you with options for joining his party or inviting him into yours.
The competitive playlist features two maps and two game types: Deathmatch and Plunder. While Deathmatch is rather self-explanatory, Plunder puts a piece of treasure onto the map and tasks you and your team with capturing it and returning it to your capture chest

During what was perhaps the longest gaming press conference of all-time, Ubisoft snuck in a release date for their much-anticipated Assassin's Creed II.
ACII will be out for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC this fall on November 17, 2009.
E3 2009 isn't even a day old and already Fall's gaming lineup is looking pretty stuffed.

Gamespot.com gave the Inside Scoop on Army of Two: The 40th Day's "Description". Check it out! In the second Army of Two, Civilians are panicked because, after scurrying around into buildings, the buildings seemingly come toppling down at random. As Fire and Rubble try to prevent your escape, they fail. Then the well armed soldiers come and pick up the slack! This is one of your primary goals in the sequel. In the 40th day, EA is planning to remove as many obstacles from the first game's control scheme as they possibly can. Remember the first Army of Two? Remember how HARD it was to take cover so you wouldn't get shot? Well, EA has added a revamped cover system to make it easier. Be on the lookout for The 40th Day on December 30th 2009!

Bungie continues work on iconic sci-fi shooter series next year; gamers who buy ODST get access to multiplayer beta.
When Bungie left Microsoft,
the developer expressed an interest in expanding its horizons beyond
the Halo universe. Despite that, the developer will be returning to its
signature series at least once more, as Microsoft today revealed the
Bungie-developed Halo Reach during its 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing.

Last week, Valve offered a brief teaser announcement that it would be party to the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo,
