Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Announced
After his appearance on the Microsoft stage Monday morning, some were begining to question how much love Hideo Kojima still has for Sony. But the man himself was on stage at Sony’s event this morning anxious to talk about the next installment of MGS on a Sony console. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is an exclusive release for the PSP and Kojima was clear about one thing; this is not a spin-off.
Peace Walker is the “missing chapter” in the Metal Gear saga. Set during the seventies, it is a direct sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3. For those who haven’t played that game, I’ll spare you the reveal concerning Snake, but rest assured its the same character from Snake Eater. The game fills in the gaps, and should answer all our questions regarding the creatin of Outer Haven and nicely setup the events that took place way back when in the original Metal Gear.
Kojima will be writing and producing and the main team behind MGS 4 will be handling development duties. The title is set for realease sometime in 2010
