EA has sent word that starting July 9 gamers can download and compete in Skate 2’s Maloof Money Cup Pack, based on the largest pursed event in the history of professional skateboarding. The pack will be available in the PlayStation Store for $3.00 and on XBLMP for 240 points in North America.
Skate 2’s Maloof Money Cup Pack will feature separate gameplay events both online and offline – freeskate, single player vert and street contests that put gamers against world class pros, and an online mode in which gamers will be able to compete against their friends in new activities and challenges for bragging rights. Xbox 360 gamers get an added bonus as there are 250 achievement points up for grabs.

World of Warcraft maker files trademark application for
dramatic disaster term on everything from computer games to greeting
cards.
It's safe to assume Blizzard has some big deals on its slate of
unannounced projects, but new filings with the United States Patent and
Trademark Office suggest one of them is particularly dire. Game
industry sleuthing site superannuation today unearthed a trio of Blizzard applications filed last Friday, each covering various uses of the word "Cataclysm."
'50s-themed musical to be adapted by Paramount and 505 Games.
Earlier this year, Paramount Digital Entertainment promised to expand the "core casual gaming audience" by publishing several games based on three teenage coming-of-age films.
Paramount's "Pretty in Pink" (1986), "Clueless" (1995), and "Mean
Girls" (2004) were adapted for the PC and Nintendo DS to the presumable
delight of those films' fans. Now, Paramount plans to adapt another one
of its movies, diving back into the 1970s to bring Grease to the Nintendo DS and Wii.
