Peripheral-equipped Robomodo reboot of Activision's long-running skateboarding franchise officially lands on 360, PS3, Wii this fall.

Activision first teased that it had big changes in store for its Tony Hawk franchise in May 2008, when publishing label president Mike Griffith said of the skateboarding series that it "won't be your father's Tony Hawk." Little was it suspected that Griffith's statement was actually quite literal, in that Tony Hawk: Ride's all-new skateboard peripheral doesn't exactly accommodate those with rickety knees or a weak back.

Judas Priest, Motorhead, Black Sabbath raise hell for soundtrack of Double Fine Productions action game; 75 bands signed on for 100 songs.

Last week, Double Fine Productions put its legal dispute with Activision behind it, agreeing to settle the dispute over Brutal Legend out of court. While the terms of the settlement weren't disclosed, today brings the first official confirmation that Brutal Legend is still set to make its October 13 North American debut.

Double Fine and Electronic Arts today announced the full soundtrack for its upcoming action game Brutal Legend. Given that the game follows heavy metal roadie Eddie Riggs (voiced by Jack Black) on a trip through the underworld, it's no surprise the audio accompaniment is uniformly hard rock. President and CEO of Activision Publishing Mike Griffith gave investors a full look at the company's upcoming plans for Modern Warfare 2, including what type of online content is in development.

"We plan to launch two separate map packs for this title," Griffith said. "Map packs help extend the shelf life of the franchise, as evidence by the strong catalog sales and premium pricing that we maintained a year and a half after launch."

"To date, we've had strong success with map packs on this franchise, selling more than 8 million units for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3," he added.

Got to hand it to Valve, they know how to keep a promise. Just shortly after promising Left 4 Dead fans that they have not abandoned the current title for the upcoming sequel, Valve has announced a brand new campaign for the original Left 4 Dead.

Crash Course bridges the gap between the rooftops of No Mercy and the abandoned highway of Death Toll and includes new locations, new dialogue from the original cast, and an explosive finale. The campaign will of course have a co-op campaign, survival maps and a new streamlined Versus mode that will last about 30 minutes.

How much will all this cost? Absolutely nothingif youre playing on a PC anyway. If you want to enjoy this campaign on your 360 however, you are going to have to shell out 560 MP ($7). Life just isnt fair is it? Unless of course you consider being a zombie instead.
